The focus of this course is two-fold.  First, the necessary components of math computations, utilizing the metric, apothecary and household system is presented with students practicing math computations until proficiency is demonstrated.  Secondly, principles of pharmacology will be presented, focusing on the proper usage of equipment in the administration of medication.  Specific drug classifications and the ethical/legal responsibilities of the practical nurse in medication administration will also be discussed. Any student requesting special accommodations is asked to see the instructor.
